“Tell me, why did you fall in love with me?’
“No reason.”
“No reason? Isn’t there a single thing about me that made you love me?”
“No. Not at all.”
“Then how can you say you love me with a straight face and this smirk of yours?”
“Because just like earthquakes’ existence my love is to big for something like reasons. It’s irrational like believing God would design natural disasters.”
“So, you are comparing our love to a disaster?”
“Hah, no. No I’m not I’m comparing it to the idea that there is not a single powerful reason to explain why I love this much. Finding a reason for that is like looking for a reason why God left us in darkness and let us fight each other to death.”
“So, you are comparing our relationship to war?”
“No. What I’m saying is that I didn’t need a reason to love you, I didn’t need anything to make me love you. Even if you were a monster that looked horrid, I would still love you. If you tried to kill me, I would still love you.”
“But why?”
“No reason.”

Mask
A smile conceals the wounds so deep,
Outside you laugh, inside you weep,
At night you cry yourself to sleep,
Upon a bed of broken dreams.
A tainted world of hate and lies,
Where love is gone, and laughter dies,
This rotten world before your eyes,
Is it as bad as what it seems?
Beneath the mask, it's black like sin,
But if we dig down deep within,
A beam of light, though weak and thin,
A ray of hope through darkness gleams.

She echoes inside.
Her loneliness leaving her barren and cold,
Her fingertips so bloodied and broken.
She had tried to climb out,
But to no avail.
Her love lay on the earth beside her,
As her tears,
Echoed.
Her eyes are chiseled out stars,
trails of gold carve into green;
wobbly curses splatter the walls
She tries to get out,
She tries to get out.
"Don't leave me," he says
as whispers
Echo.
Trickling water resounds around them,
Its pattering going slower, and slower,
Pounding deep within her.
Her eyes, like chocolate melt with tears,
And as they flow she is immersed in nothingness.
Darkness is her friend,
Her weakness,

saturday. i woke up again this morning. it's raining, too. i remember last night i made a deal with myself. for a minute, i listen to the symphony or the raindrops colliding with the glass, that hollow sound of their lives ending, before i turn over to glance at the alarm clock. it's 7:34 am, overcast, peaceful. i pull open the top drawer in the nightstand and pull out my bottle of prozac containing the last 10 pills. i've been saving them up for this.
